The name *Belvedere* originates from the Italian language and literally means “beautiful view.” This villa, built 35 years ago and once known as *Pansion Belvedere*, was a place where guests could enjoy traditional Dalmatian cuisine and a hearty breakfast while taking in the stunning panoramic views of the sea and nearby islands. Before the internet, with only a single roadside advertisement and a listing in German newspapers, the guesthouse was always full, offering guests a cozy atmosphere and unforgettable gatherings.
Located in Seget Vranjica near Trogir, Villa Belvedere continues to offer a sense of tranquility, enjoyment, and an escape from everyday life, becoming the perfect place for gatherings where guests create lasting memories with friends and family. The integration of a large communal space for socializing, complete with a pool and summer kitchen, and a design that harmoniously blends with the appearance of the traditional Dalmatian three-story house, was a real challenge. The former three-level garden was transformed into a pool area with a summer kitchen, a small restroom, and a lounge space furnished with comfortable cushions. Every detail was thoughtfully designed to allow guests to relax and socialize. The lower level features a lounge zone as an additional gathering space, while the practical area includes a storage room and technical room located beneath the first-level poolside loungers. This design maximized every centimeter of space, creating room for storage and a large technical room for pool equipment and electrical installations. We used the same elements as on the facade, cladding the small detached building with a WC and the entire front section of the pool facing the lounge in traditional Dalmatian stone to tie the concept together. The exterior design was carefully aligned with the interior – Villa Belvedere includes apartments, each with its own bathroom and terrace offering breathtaking views of the islands and sea. Soon, we will be adding new design stories with updates to two apartments, further connecting the overall narrative. The exterior, inspired by the colors of nature, and the communal space designed as a light and cozy oasis, continue the tradition of bringing people together and creating new memories.
